Universal Orlando Resort Unveils Details for Harry Potter Expansion

Finally, some details about the new theme area, which is going to be opened this summer at Universal Orlando Resort, have been revealed officially. “The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Diagon Alley” is the name of the new theme area located within the Universal Studios. It will double the size of the already existing “The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Hogsmeade” theme area opened within Universal’s Islands of Adventure back in 2010. A stunning, multi-dimensional thrill ride, “Harry Potter and the Escape from Gringotts”, numerous shops and dining experiences will be part of this new area. Of course, Universal’s creative team has prepared a special feature: Guests who are in possession of a ticket for both parks will be able to travel between the two areas aboard the iconic “Hogwarts Express”. The journey takes them from London’s King’s Cross Station (located in Universal Studios) to Hogsmeade Station (located in Universal’s Islands of Adventure) and vice versa.
