West Midlands Safari Park Has a New Managing Director
(eap) The West Midlands Safari Park in Bewdley (Worcestershire, England) has a new Managing Director: Joanne Hammick, who has extensive experience in the hospitality industry – having previously worked as Managing Director of Studley Castle, part of the Warner Hotels Group. With more than 20 years of experience in management positions, she will use her in-depth leadership and industry knowledge to strategically lead the Safari Park.
“I am honoured and excited to step into the role of Managing Director at West Midlands Safari Park. As someone who has long admired the Park’s dedication to conservation, education and providing memorable experiences for its guests, I look forward to leading such a great team. Together, we will continue to focus on the Park’s commitment to sustainability and wildlife preservation while creating even more engaging experiences for our guests. The future is filled with opportunity, and I am thrilled to be a part of it as we build upon the rich legacy of this incredible Park,” highlights Hammick.
In her new role, the park’s first female Managing Director will focus on driving sustainable growth in all areas, including expanding the thriving “Safari Lodges” accommodation division and strengthening the venue hire presence for both the corporate and public sectors. Hammick replaces former Managing Director Chris Kelly, who retired in October this year. ■
