Zoomarine Portugal Presents All-New “Quetzal” Waterslide

(eap) Located in southern Portugal, Zoomarine Algarve offers marine animal encounters as well as a range of theme park and water park attractions. Just in time for the start of the season on 1 June, “Quetzal” (named after a bird species from Central America), a new slide adventure, opened to visitors. Supplied by the Canadian company ProSlide, the waterslide is the longest Dueling PIPEline in Europe with a length of 178 meters per lane.

A total of six dueling sections, i.e. open passages in which the competitors can see each other thanks to low partition walls between the two lanes, were installed here. The family racing slide equipped with double tubes (for a total of four guests at the same time), which also includes closed tube sections, offers a theoretical capacity of 600pph.■
