Poland: Mandoria – Brand-New Theme Park Now Open
Yesterday saw the official opening of Mandoria, City of Adventures, a completely new theme park that was handed over to the public. The indoor park, which is located around 1.5 hours by car from Warsaw near Łódź and represents the first investment phase of a large-scale project, was actually supposed to be opened last summer (cf. EAP news of 8 Oct 2019). Due to the pandemic, however, the opening had been delayed. From now on, visitors can embark on a journey to the year 1520 and go on a voyage of discovery in the fictious Hanseatic city of “Mandoria”.
In addition to a themed environment and acting-trained, costumed staff designed to make the immersion in past times as authentic as possible, all rides and attractions are also integrated into the storytelling of the family-oriented park, including, for example, a Magic Bikes carousel from Italian manufacturer Zamperla or a Bob Coaster from Germany’s Gerstlauer Amusement Rides company. Due to the latest Covid-19 restrictions, the park’s visitor capacity is currently limited to a 75 percent occupancy rate.
