USA: Themed Entertainment Association Establishes Formal Presence in Mainland China
As part of its global growth strategy, California-based TEA (Themed Entertainment Association) has announced the establishment of an official legal presence in mainland China in the form of a wholly-foreign owned entity. With headquarters in Shanghai, the TEA Business Consulting (Shanghai) Co., LTD, or commonly known as TEA China, will enable association members to connect with new members in China and the fast-growing Chinese market to better network and provide greater access to cultural tourism developers in the country.
The plan was unanimously approved by the TEA International Board of Directors in April 2021, with Chinese government approval granted in July 2021. The TEA is currently setting up and staffing the new TEA China office in Xintiandi, Shanghai. Chuck Fawcett, current TEA Board President, will serve as the new TEA China Director. TEA International Board member Evi Sari will serve as Interim General Manager of the Chinese entity. (eap)
