(eap) Just in time for the Easter holidays, the Italian theme park Mirabilandia (Parques Reunidos) starts its new season today. Visitors can look forward to the brand new “Nickelodeon Land”. The 25,000 square meter theme area is aimed at families with children and Nickelodeon fans who want to have fun in the company of well-known characters such as “SpongeBob”, “Patrick”, the “Ninja Turtles”, “Dora” and “PAW Patrol”. The new area, which was created in cooperation with Paramount, comprises a total of ten attractions, three themed restaurants, two meet-and-greet areas and an official Nickelodeon store.

The main attractions include the family coaster “Cowabunga Carts” (Zierer), the chain carousel “Jellyfish Jam” (also Zierer), the balloon ride “Boots’ Balloons”, the water ride “Rubble’s Rapids”, the train ride “Dora’s Train Adventure” and the playground “PAW Patrol Adventure Bay”.

“Cutting the ribbon for a new area or attraction is always an exciting moment,” highlights Sabrina Mangia, General Manager of Mirabilandia. “Because it is the result of an extraordinary effort by the entire Mirabilandia team. Nickelodeon Land is not only an exclusive novelty for our visitors, but also a celebration of our partnership with a global player like Paramount. A collaboration that we are convinced will benefit Mirabilandia, Romagna and Italy as a whole, strengthening Italy’s position as a destination of excellence.”

“We are very proud and excited to bring the Nickelodeon universe to the heart of Italy, to an iconic park like Mirabilandia,” says Marie Marks, Senior Vice President Global Experiences at Paramount. “Nickelodeon Land is much more than just a new themed area: it’s a family experience that brings our beloved characters to life, full of excitement and discovery. The collaboration with Mirabilandia is an important step in our international strategy and strengthens our bond with the Italian public. Together we are creating something unique that will make the Italian tourism offer even more attractive and competitive.” ■
