Belgium: Colorful Brick Experience Opens in Brussels
In February this year, Merlin Entertainments announced the new “LEGO Discovery Centre“ for an opening in the Belgian capital of Brussels. Yesterday, the official opening ceremony was celebrated. As of tomorrow, visitors will be able to explore the colorful world of building blocks and will have the opportunity to use their unlimited creativity building with the LEGO bricks. Covering an area of around 3,000 square meters, the indoor experience offers numerous building stations as well as other interactive activities such as a train ride on the “Imagination Express“ or a 4D cinema showing LEGO films.
“Over the past few months, we‘ve worked very hard to make the LEGO Discovery Centre Brussels the ultimate place for children and their families to play, discover, create and have fun together. The LEGO Discovery Centre Brussels is unique thanks to a number of brand-new play experiences, including a new state-of-the-art Space Experience ‘Space Mission’. From 24 June, we can’t wait to welcome all LEGO adventurers to discover their ultimate LEGO-themed indoor creative experience,“ comments Michelle Hoeneveld, General Manager LEGO Discovery Centre Brussels.
Master Model Builders such as Sieber Bulteel, will help visitors push their creative boundaries in brick building: “[…] Top quality learning through play is a cornerstone of the LEGO Discovery Centre experience and I am very much looking forward to teaching all children new building techniques and challenging them creatively.“
There are a total of 27 LEGOLAND Discovery Centres worldwide, but the new location in Brussels is the first of the “new generation“ under the LEGO Discovery Centre brand. (eap)
