Austria: New Play Experiences for Kids at Swarovski Kristallwelten
Austria’s Swarovski Kristallwelten park, which is located in Wattens, has recently inaugurated a new, versatile play landscape appealing to kids of all ages. In the course of a cooperation with Germany’s Ravensburger Freizeit und Promotion GmbH and Austrian Sunkid company, young visitors can now enjoy a redesigned outdoor playground and “play tower”: The existing playground in The Giant’s garden has been expanded with an exciting, 25 meter long climbing course, the water play elements offer has been enlarged and on the walkable wooden area Sunkid and its cooperating partner Almholz have installed a ball game.
The so-called play tower has been designed by Ravensburger Freizeit und Promotion GmbH: “We designed all newly created play modules with a special designation to Swarovski Kristallwelten – of course including its iconic ‘Giant’ and the Swarovski figures in the main roles. All game ideas have a pedagogical background and are based on the proven game principles of Ravensburger,” explained Sandra Schneckenburger, Head of the agency of Ravensburger Freizeit and Promotion GmbH.
Stefan Isser, CEO of Swarovski Kristallwelten, is proud of the extended offer for children: “Thanks to our successful cooperation with Ravensburger and Sunkid we can now offer families more opportunities to discover exciting activities and new things. The connection between playful joy and a pedagogical and artistic approach is an important element for us and had consequently been realized here,” said Isser. (eap)
