France/UK: Simworx to Deliver Several Major Attractions to Brand-New French Theme Park

According to current planning, the area of Beaulieu, close to Avignon in southern France, will see the opening of the brand-new Parc Spirou theme park in 2018, featuring the popular Franco-Belgian comics series “Spirou and Fantasio”. The new park, which was initially announced back in 2015 for a 2016 opening, will receive three key attractions from British Simworx company, a specialized provider of motion-based platforms and simulator attractions. Simworx will supply an immersive tunnel attraction, an eight-seater, 6-DOF Stargazer Motion Theatre and the very first example of its “Advanced Guidance Vehicle” (AGV) dark ride (cf. EAP, 6/2012), which includes a trackless vehicle movement.
