China/Germany: New “Super Wings“ Theme Area at OCT Happy Valley Chongqing Gets Three FUNRIDE Units as Main Attraction
OCT Group’s Happy Valley theme park in Chongqing (South West China) is getting a new theme area dedicated to the popular 3D children animation series “Super Wings”. At a scheduled total investment of 75.8 million Euros (600 million Yuan) several new visitor offerings are being developed on a total space of 40,000 square meters.
The main attraction in the new theme area – at an investment of some 25.3 million Euros (200 million Yuan) – will be the “Ledi Secret Mission” simulator experience, for which the German manufacturer Simtec Systems has been commissioned with the production and installation of three “FUNRIDE 21” simulator units, including the AV system. The 6 DOF Open Cabin simulator units, each of which will feature 21 seats, will receive a “Super Wings” theming and be located in the front of a 30-meter-wide screen. Visitors can look forward to an immersive adventure alongside “Jett” & Co.
“We are very proud of the fact that we have been selected as supplier by OCT Happy Valley, one of the most successful park operators in China, and that we were able to prevail against well-known competitors. This shows again that we have a big advantage with our expandable and adaptable concept concerning various designs and seat capacities within the FUNRIDE closed cabin and open cabin simulators,” explains Andreas Stickel, Director Business Development at Simtec.
Simtec serves all services in the areas of project management and customer service from its service base in Wuhan. (eap)
