“BON“: A Luxury Theme Park for VidantaWorld

(eap) In the residential and resort community of Nuevo Vallarta in the Bahía de Banderas region of western Mexico, the country’s Vidanta Group is developing VidantaWorld Nuevo Vallarta, which – similar to the group’s resort location on the Caribbean Riviera Maya – aims to attract visitors with luxurious accommodation, entertainment and leisure facilities.

The initial amusement attractions, such as the “Vista Wheel” Coaster Wheel and the “Floresta Drop” Parachute Drop Tower (both from Intamin), are already in operation. Both rides offer an extraordinaryexperience and make an impact thanks to their architecture and elaborate theming.

The range of rides and entertainment is set to grow significantly in the future. With the BON Luxury Theme Park (with “BON” standing for “Beauty of Nature”), the Vindanta Group envisions the resort as a unique destination offering “upscale amenities” for all generations. Comprehensive storytelling is one of the guiding principles for the development, on which Vidanta’s own design, architecture and construction teams are working closely with P&P Projects from the Netherlands.

Theatre concept design for the Cirque du Soleil dinner show... The centrepiece of the park will be an entertainment theatre, where Cirque du Soleil's “Ludõ” show will celebrate its premiere at the end of next year. The show, which includes a dinner, will have the element of water as its theme, and the theatre will integrate a 360-degree floating stage for this purpose.

"Tecuani Beast" will be one of the park's signature rides. The opening of a series of major attractions – including several signature rides – is scheduled to follow in 2026. They will include the “first double launch coaster in Latin America”, which will feature six inversions, a double roll-over top hat element and a total of 13 airtime moments along its approximately 1.2 km long track. The ride’s manufacturer, Vekoma, was already able to present the attraction’s front car at the recent IAAPA Expo in Orlando. In addition, the company is supplying the park with its “Beat It!” interactive boat ride as well as a mine train with a switchback element, a suspended family coaster and an additional family roller coaster.

Outdoor slow boat ride. An inverted powered coaster, a dark boat ride, an outdoor boat ride and an interactive Twist’n’Splash ride will be supplied to the newly built park by Mack Rides. In addition, VidantaWorld and BON will receive attractions from Zamperla, Zierer, Brogent, Walltopia and Aérophile, among others.

Further partners include accesso, AOA, Play Club and Severn Lamb. The park is scheduled to open in 2026. ■
