“Gardaland Night is Magic” with New Shows & Specials
(eap) The annual “Gardaland Night is Magic” summer event at Italy’s Gardaland theme park, which lets visitors experience all park attractions until 11 p.m. starting next July 8 (already now selected rides are open during the late evening hours), has some new shows and specials in store. This year, the “Fuga da Atlantide” flume ride (type “Shoot The Chute” by manufacturer Intamin), which has been inviting visitors to splashy fun since its opening exactly 20 years ago, will be particularly showcased. To mark this anniversary, the attraction is getting a new look and will be enveloped by projections, light beams and special “underwater” video mapping effects during Gardaland Night is Magic nights. Not far from the water ride, the new “Neptune Night Show” attracts visitors from 10 p.m. onwards – a light show that stages the epic encounter between Neptune, god of water, and his sister Vesta, goddess of fire. Accompanied by water percussions, LEDs and fire effects, the new show aims to captivate the audience.
There are also other new show offerings and events as part of Gardaland Night is Magic: In the “Teatro della Fantasia”, the new show “Magico Me” can be seen, which draws guests into a spell of colors, magic and fun. In the Hawaiian themed area, the new show “Waikiki Hula” exudes typical Hawaiian atmosphere with lighthearted music, traditional dances and acrobatics. On Saturday, July 8, the “Gardaland Summer Festival” will take place at the park’s Jumanji Square, featuring artists from the national music scene who lead an open-air disco that will last into the night. Guests can take advantage of the park’s long summer opening hours through Sept. 10, 2023.
Gardaland has more than 40 rides and experiences in store for visitors. The latest park innovations include the family attraction “Jumanji® – The Labyrinth” and the interactive live show “Nautilus”. In addition to the Gardaland theme park, the resort operated by Merlin Entertainments includes the LEGOLAND® Water Park (read also our cover story of EAP 3/2021), which opened in 2021, the Gardaland Sea Life aquarium, and three themed hotels. ■
