“Tim's Runaway Grain Wagons” Family Coaster Opens at Vala's Pumpkin Patch
(eap) Just in time for the fall season, the new family coaster “Tim’s Runaway Grain Wagons” recently opened at Vala’s Pumpkin Patch in Gretna, Nebraska.
To celebrate the 40th anniversary of the family-owned and operated business, Vala’s Pumpkin Patch decided to incorporate a new ride from Italian manufacturer Zamperla. “We are excited to integrate new rides in with our active play areas our guests have enjoyed for years. The kid’s coaster is a great fit for our demographics and we have seen a lot of smiles from it this year. It was fun to help develop a theme that worked going through an antique corn crib to stay with our story of a turn of the century farm,” explained Tim Vala, founder of Vala’s Pumpkin Patch.
The roller coaster, which is housed in a purpose-built building, is characterized by its age-appropriate design and use of retro elements. The manufacturer’s Family Coaster model is already celebrating its 25th anniversary this year with 55 installations on six continents. ■
