“Travellers‘ Choice Awards 2019“: Leisure & Water Parks Ranking

The online travel platform TripAdvisor invites its users on an annual basis to participate in the “Travellers’ Choice Awards” ranking by voting for their favorite travel and leisure destinations. Recently, TripAdvisor presented the results for 2019: In the category of “Top 25 Amusement Parks – World” Universal’s Islands of Adventure (Orlando, FL) ranks first, followed by Disney’s Magic Kingdom (Orlando, FL).

Three European parks were voted among the “Top 10” of the world’s best amusement parks: With its elaborate shows and themed attractions, France’s Puy du Fou ranks fifth on a global scale, Copenhagen’s Tivoli amusement park was voted seventh place. Frequently voted among the world’s best amusement parks is Germany’s Europa-Park, this year on rank eight.

In the subcategory of “Top 10 Amusement Parks – Germany”, Europa-Park ranks first, followed by the Playmobil FunPark family theme park in Bavaria and Phantasialand near Cologne.

Front runner in the category of “Top 25 Water Parks – World” is Europe’s Siam Park, located on the Spanish island of Tenerife, followed by water parks in the UAE, Australia and Brazil.
