“Two Lake City” Interlaken, Switzerland: The Transformation of the “Mystery Park”
In early May a new concept was announced for the Mystery Park in Interlaken, which had been closed down in November 2006. The Swiss corporation New Inspiration AG—well known far beyond the federal boundaries—is teaming up with the makers of the Swiss Economic Forum, Peter Stähli and Stefan Linder, to become the new operator of “Two Lake City,” the former Mystery Park by Erich von Däniken. The facility shopped around for some new inspiration last December for around 14 million Swiss francs. The park is set to relaunch next spring and will feature some new attractions (e.g. flight simulator). There are many interesting ideas, but more investors are still needed to put them into effect. To implement the new concept including the new attractions, around 20 million Swiss francs will be needed within the next few months if “Two Lake City” is not to turn into “Too Late City”. (eap)
