“Wood Express” – France’s Parc Saint Paul to Open New Wooden Rollercoaster in 2018

Located some 100 km north of Paris, the family theme park Parc Saint Paul will add a new major ride to its attractions portfolio next year. As of summer 2018, the all-new “Wood Express”, a wooden coaster from US-based The Gravity Group, will thrill visitors (riders must be 110cm at least). The 12-passenger train will start from a height of 15 meters with a 57 degree first drop and reach speeds of up to 61km/h. Guests will experience a total of 13 airtime moments during the ride on the 479 meter long track.

Following last year’s opening of “Timber!” at Walibi Rhône-Alpes (cp. EAP issue 3/2016), the installation at Parc Saint Paul will be the manufacturer’s second wooden coaster in France and their fourth in Europe. (eap)
