„Asiatique Sky“ – Giant Wheel Opened in Bangkok / Thailand

An around 60 meter high giant wheel started operations in a historic place in Bangkok (Thailand) by the end of last year. The giant wheel named “Asiatique Sky” was supplied by Dutch Wheels and installed at Bangkok’s latest leisure venue, “Asiatique the Riverfront”, a shopping and leisure venue directly located at Chao Phraya river. During a ride in one of the giant wheel’s 42 fully enclosed and air-conditioned gondolas guests can enjoy a fantastic view over Bangkok. The shopping and leisure venue was opened last year and offers 40 restaurants and bars, numerous stores, a puppet theatre and the Calypso Bangkok Theatre. Upon completion of Asiatique the Riverfront, operated by TCC Land Group, the leisure venue will cover a total area of 11.7 hectares. The giant wheel is operated by Swiss AEX Group. (eap)
