165 Dinosaurs to Find a New Home at Australian Luxury Resort
The Australian billionaire Clive Palmer ordered 165 animated life-size dinosaurs to create a dinosaur park at Queensland’s Palmer Coolum Resort. According to the luxury resort’s web site, the construction works at the site are well underway and the first consignments of dinosaurs have arrived. Some of the huge prehistoric creatures will be animated with moving limbs and lifelike roars like the T-Rex “Jeff”, the resort’s landmark dinosaur. Another impressive and striking character will be a 20-meter long and 3.5 meter high Deinosuchus which is expected to arrive at the resort by the end of this month. The opening of the dinosaur park is scheduled for later this year. In February, 59-year-old Palmer announced to rebuild a replica of the sunken “Titanic”. The new cruise liner, “Titanic II”, will be built by Chinese shipbuilders CSC Jinling Shipyard and is scheduled to sail from Southampton to New York on her maiden voyage in 2016. (eap)
