30 Years Rapids Water Park

In 1979 Rapids Water Park at Palm Beach / USA opened on an area of five acres and with only one ride – Old Yellar. Today the park has been increased in size up to 25 acres and by now offers 29 water slides to its guests. The most popular attractions are the four raft rides: Riptide Raftin’, Black Thunder, Big Thunder and Raging Rapids. Over 400,000 visitors are counted annually. In its 30-year history, not one attraction had to be replaced, not even the Old Yellar slides. “This is a place,” the park’s president Lumbra says, “where you never get bored.” (eap)
