Aquanario – a Mobile Water Spectacle in Berlin
More than 45,000 spectators on ten consecutive evenings came to Berlin’s “Zentraler Festplatz” (central fairground) to see a mobile multi-media show event. “Aquanario”, a show consisting of water, fire, laser, lighting and firework effects, was developed and realized by the Bielefeld-based company Flash Art. They were supported by MediaLobby for the implementation of the sound and video technology. With the help of a new “V:3D” software from Syncronorm, Jens Hillenkotter, Director of Lighting Design at Flash Art, developed and programmed a light show that combines water, laser and special effects in an impressing way. “Due to the V:3D software I had the chance for the first time to program a lighting atmosphere in a virtual environment that visualized all elements in an impressive quality”, says Hillenkotter. Some 500,000 liters of water were moved in time with the music every evening. Laser and pyrotechnical effects, flames of a height of 12 meters as well as projections were put together for this awesome show. (eap)
