Australia: New Adventure Playground for Outdoor Fun

In the West Australian city of Perth “The Village of Wellard” was recently opened – an outdoor adventure park for kids of all ages, featuring a skate park, a BMX trail, trampolines and a playground.

EPCAD, an Australian creative design studio, was responsible for the park’s planning and construction works, the playground has been delivered by Berliner Seilfabrik. Its highlight is a 7.3 meter high climbing tower with a tunnel slide – while the older children try to reach the four-storey-high tower, which is covered by large windows and bamboo panels, the younger ones balance on a low-ropes landscape. In the breaks, hammocks invite to relax and hang around. (eap)
