Austria: Fantasiana to Open New Wild Swing Ride from ART Engineering This Summer

Austria’s Fantasiana Erlebnispark in Strasswalchen will open a “Wild Swing” attraction by ART Engineering this summer. The same attraction model has also been announced by Potts Park in Minden, Germany for this upcoming season (cf. our Park Report 2022). The Wild Swing is a new ride type developed by ART Engineering – in Fantasiana, it will replace the former pirate ship at the park’s lake. The attraction’s signature animatronic, a mythical creature, is supplied by Bavaria-based Hüttinger Animatronics.
The gondola will seat a total of 16 people, placed back-to-back in two rows of eight. A bucket seat and an individually adjustable single bar are designed to ensure a high level of comfort for guests during the ride. The Wild Swing, which will be 12 meters high, requires a footprint of only 11x6 meter (clearance of approx. 15x12 meter) and can generate a capacity of 500 pph, depending on the ride program.
