Austria: Jurassic Island Closed

Since mid-September, the dinosaur park Jurassic Island in Traismauer, Austria has been closed because of bankruptcy proceedings. In the middle of the decade, the park project was supported by the state of Lower Austria with the “ecoplus” regional funds. According to the regional press, there will probably be a park auction. Interested parties, who are planning to continue park operations with whatever theming, will be faced with just one disadvantage: the construction of a hotel in connection with the theme park won’t be possible as the park is located in a nature reserve.
