Austria: Madame Tussauds Vienna Gives Queen Elisabeth a Makeover by
Since the opening of Madame Tussauds Vienna in April 2011, Queen Elisabeth II. is one of the main charackters presented in the wax figure exhibition. Yesterday, the Merlin Entertainments MIdway attraction opened the redesigned Queen-area. „Her Majesty“ received a new styling and the room, which was enlarged and modernised, now features detailed furniture and three Corgy-replicas (the Queen’s favourite dogs). Visitors can sit on the throne or dress themselves as a royal guard in the royal box.
“Queen Elisabeth II. is one of our most beloved figures in the exhibition. Everybody wants to take a picture with her und we are very happy to provide our visitors with this opportunity,“ says Arabella Kruschinski, General Manager of Madame Tussauds Vienna. (eap)
