Austria: Sunkid Becomes Provider of Mountain Coasters

Austrian manufacturer Sunkid recently incorporated the summer toboggan run business from Austria’s Brandauer GmbH in its attractions portfolio, now additionally offering the “Mountain Coaster”, which is based on a monorail system. The first Mountain Coaster from Brandauer went into operation in 1996, today there are more than 50 installations worldwide.

“[…] The summer toboggan run fits us outstandingly well and enables us to further improve our position as a provider of year-round leisure experiences for the entire family,” commented Sunkid Managing Directors Herbert Zopf and Emanuel Wohlfarter. Thanks to their proximity to the main production site of Sunkid, the Brandauer production and work places will continue to remain in Russbach (near Salzburg).

The Mountain Coaster can be installed on both rocky or earthy terrain with a minimum slope of five to seven percent. The track layout can be individually adapted to local conditions and the customer’s wishes. In addition, Sunkid offers individual theming and design solutions for the attraction. (eap)
