Austria: Sunkid Launches New Ride for Loopings in Lofty Heights
Originally developed as a custom-made attraction, ride manufacturer Sunkid has recently incorporated the new “Sky Loop“ into its product portfolio. The thrill ride, which in this standard version can accommodate up to four people, promises an exciting ride experience with loopings through lofty heights, e.g. on the roof terrace of a high building, on a cruise ship above the sea or on a viewing platform.
When passengers have taken their seats, the mechanical arm swings outwards from the platform and the gondola begins to rotate up to 360 degrees forwards and backwards. The number of seat units and the length of the mechanical arm are variable, as well as the speed and duration of the ride experience. Given a duration of 30 seconds, the hourly capacity of the system is 320 persons. The first “Sky Loop” was supplied to Blume Vergnügungsbetriebe showmen group in 2016, who installed the attraction on the roof of its travelling “Blume Event Tower”. (eap)
