Austria: Thomas Prenneis Named New Managing Director of OÖ Thermenholding & EurothermenResorts

As successor of Markus Achleitner, President of the European Waterpark Association (EWA) and new state councilor of economy and tourism for the Upper Austria region (cf. EAP News from June 19th, 2018 & November 27th, 2018), Thomas Prenneis took over the management of the ÖO Thermenholding group of companies and the EurothermenResorts with its three related thermal spa venues in Bad Isch, Bad Hall and Bad Schallerbach.
After studying economics, Prenneis started his career as restaurant manager at a hotel in Austria. He then held various management positions at the Marriott International hotel chain, spending several years in Santiago de Chile.
He took over his first position as Managing Director in 2007 at the Wimberhof Restaurant in Austria. In 2010, he assumed the position of General Manager at Wilbirg Tourismus Betriebe GmbH. Most recently, Prenneis was at the helm of Falkensteiner Therme Golf Hotel in Bad Waltersdorf/Austria. (eap)
