Avatar Land Coming to Disneyland Resort
(eap) Recently, The Walt Disney Company’s CEO Bob Iger confirmed the speculation that an Avatar land is to be created at Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, California. In the “Morgan Stanley Technology, Media & Telecom Conference Call” last Tuesday, Iger said: “We have one Avatar-based land, Pandora, in Florida. We’re going to put a second one in California. It doesn’t mean we can’t put one in – somewhere in Asia and somewhere in Europe as if for instance.” Accordingly, it cannot be ruled out that further Avatar themed areas will be created at other Disney resorts in the future.
So far, the “Pandora – The World of Avatar” themed area is only experienceable at Disney’s Animal Kingdom in Orlando, Florida. Park visitors have been able to discover the world of the “Na’vi” with the two main attractions “Avatar Flight of Passage” and “Na’vi River Journey” there since 2017. It is not yet known which Avatar attractions will be coming to the themed area in California. ■
