Belgium: Plopsa Hotel Officially Recognized As 4-Star Superior Hotel
The Plopsa Hotel, which is part of Plopsaland De Panne, can call itself a four-star superior hotel now. The themed hotel, which marks a milestone in the expansion of the Belgian theme park into a resort (see EAP 6/2020), was officially opened in May of this year after a delay of several months due to the Corona crisis. It received its classification from the Flemish tourism authority Toerisme Vlaanderen.
“This is the icing on the cake of all the hard work we have done in the last months and years. Moreover, it is also a kind of seal of quality that inspires confidence among our guests and potential customers,” said Plopsa Group CEO Steve Van den Kerkhof. The hotel has 117 themed rooms and suites, a buffet restaurant, two cocktail bars, three modern meeting rooms and underground parking. (eap)
