Bianca Sammut is New Divisional Director of Alton Towers Resort

UK theme park Alton Towers Resort – part of Merlin Entertainments – has most recently announced that Bianca Sammut has joined the park as its new Divisional Director from now on. Previously, Sammut spent two decades in various senior roles in the leisure industry, including Head of Yas Island Theme Parks (as well as General Manager of Ferrari World Abu Dhabi & Yas Waterworld) and with the Village Roadshow Theme Parks group. At Alton Towers, she will head up the senior leadership team, overseeing the theme park and its resort hotels.

Prior to taking up her new position, Sammut said: “I am beyond excited to be a part of the Merlin Family and the very committed and talented team at Alton Towers Resort. Alton Towers is an iconic attraction that will continue to innovate and deliver memorable experiences for many years to come. We will stay committed to our people and will be passionate about delivering memories that will last a lifetime.”

Most recently, Alton Towers had announced the name of its modernized dark ride “Duel”, which will reopen under the name “The Curse at Alton Manor” this season. (eap)
