UK: Alton Towers Enhances CBeebies Land With Three New Experiences
Right in time for its season start tomorrow, Alton Towers has announced three new experiences to complement the existing “CBeebies Land“, which is based on the British TV channel owned by the BBC with series and content for pre-school children. In the new “Hey Duggee Big Adventure Badge“ experience kids will be able to slide, climb and jump around as they explore the “Hey Duggee Clubhouse“. Part of the experience is also joining the “Squirrel Club“ and after successfully completing the challenges, each child receives a small award in the form of an “Adventure Badge“. Of course, a fluffy hug from Duggee himself is not to be missed here.
Things get adventurous in “Andy‘s Adventures Dinosaur Dig“. Here, children can immerse in the role of a palaeontologist and dig up prehistoric fossils – including a three-metre-long replica of a Tyrannosaurus skull – and analyse them with the help of the “Fossilator“. In the indoor experience “JoJo & Gran Gran at Home“, the youngest visitors can go on an exploration tour through the home of JoJo and Gran Gran, which was recreated from the series of the same name. A phone call with Gran Gran on Saint Lucia, baking her banana bread or playing in the garden, it is all possible here. In addition to the new series-based experiences, Alton Towers will feature two new live shows dubbed “Bing‘s Day Out at CBeebies Land“ and “Hey Duggee: The Map Badge“, starting tomorrow. At the CBeebies Land Hotel, the park will also offer “Bing“-themed rooms from now on.
Larry Roles, Marketing Director for Alton Towers Resort, said: “We are really excited to grow the fun-packed programme of entertainment and attractions in CBeebies Land, bringing to life even more TV favourites for families to enjoy together. […] We’re sure both parents and children will love experiencing these fun additions and we cannot wait to see them being enjoyed by our guests.” (eap)
