Bob Chapek Unveils Plans for Marvel-themed Attraction to Open at Disneyland Paris
Today during “D23 Expo Japan 2018“, Walt Disney Parks and Resorts Chairman Bob Chapek unveiled details about, amongst others, the opening of a Marvel-themed attraction at Disneyland Paris. For this purpose, the existing “Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster” at Walt Disney Studios Park will be re-themed and transformed to bring “Iron Man” and other “Avengers” to life. This development can be seen in connection with the 25th anniversary of the theme park resort, which has been celebrated since spring last year and has already brought a number of novelties (cp. EAP 5/2017). When the reimagined attraction will be open for visitors has not been announced yet. With “Marvel Summer of Super Heroes” new show events and character meet-ups were already announced earlier this year to take place at Disneyland Paris from 10th of June to 30th of September 2018.
Furthermore, the re-design of “Disney’s Hotel New York®“ four-star-hotel under the new name of “Disney’s Hotel New York – The Art of Marvel” is planned (cp. EAP news f. 01 September 2017).
“The ambitious plans for Marvel at Disneyland Paris will create brand-new and stunning experiences around the super heroes for our guests and enhance the overall attractiveness of the resort,” says Catherine Powell, President of Euro Disney S.A.S.
