(eap) The Taiwanese company Brogent Technologies, which specialises in the development and construction of simulator attractions, is to expand its existing production capacity with a new factory. The ground-breaking ceremony for the new factory, which will be located in Ciaotou Science Park in Kaohsiung, not far from Brogent’s headquarters, took place recently. Around USD 60 million (EUR 55 million) are being invested in the new production site, which, with a total area of two hectares, will offer significantly expanded capacity for the development, production and testing of large-scale, high-end amusement rides, including custom-installations. The first construction phase is scheduled to be completed by the fourth quarter of 2025.

The manufacturer, which is particularly known for its “i-Ride”- and “m-Ride”-branded flying theatres, also aims at creating further development potential in the fields of innovation and efficiency with the new factory. One example of a large-scale customised simulator attraction developed and built by Brogent is a main attractions at Spaceship Park (operated by Chimelong Group) in Zhuhai, China, which opened last year: the “Bermuda Storm” ride consists of a platform with a capacity for 304 visitors per ride, making it the largest simulator of its kind in the world to date (read more about Spaceship Park in EAP 2/2024). ■
