Brunswick Introduces New Augmented Reality Bowling Experience “Spark”
Brunswick Bowling Products recently released the augmented reality bowling experience “Spark TM”, an immersive and interactive scoring experience. The Spark projection system is connected to the company´s sync-scoring-system “Sync® Invicta”, which allows not only the illumination of bowlers and animations on the lanes, but also new games. “Spark is launching with a new scoring game, ‘Boom Bots’, that enables guests to score from hitting pins as well as targets on the lane,“ explains Scott Meier, director of technology at Brunswick. Customers can choose their experience on a Sync tablet out of an offer of more than 15 animation themes. Furthermore, customizing the games is possible through projecting own photos into the game.
Meier adds: “Spark turns the lane into an interactive part of the scoring experience. We are excited to announce that this is the first of many new augmented reality bowling games that will be part of the Spark collection.“
The new system was created in cooperation with TouchMagix (headquartered in India), to attract new audiences and increase dwell time, profits and return visits. (eap)
