Budapest: “Aquaworld” Opens

“Aquaworld” opened in December in the Hungarian capital (as reported in detail in issue 3/2007 of EAP). This is one of the largest combined recreational pool and hotel complexes (the Ramada resort has 309 rooms and suites) in Europe. The swimming area comprises 17 pools with a total length of 900 metres of slides, as well as an extensive sauna landscape. Within roughly two years, an enormous complex was created at the nine-hectare large premises with an investment sum of 68 million euros. (eap)
