Canada: Hugues Sweeney Appointed New President of Thinkwell Studios Montréal

The Los Angeles-based design and production agency Thinkwell Group just announced the appointment of Hugues Sweeney as new president of Thinkwell Studio Montréal. Sweeney’s responsibility will be to ensure the long-term growth for Thinkwell‘s departments in Montréal, Quebec and Canada as well as focus on the developments of creative technologies for worldwide operating companies. He will bring in new creative projects for museums, attractions, corporate brand experiences, hospitality clients and will also oversee the research and development initiatives of Réalisations-Montréal, which was acquired by Thinkwell Group in early 2019 (cf. The formerly head of Bande à part and founding member of National Film Board digital studio is a digital media executive who has produced interactive experiences for more than 20 years. “I am honored to contribute to the new life of a studio that has been pioneer in crafting interactive environments,“ said Sweeney and continues: “Thinkwell’s presence in Montréal will play a key role in redefining collective experience around the world through the creative application of technology, and I am excited to lead the Montréal teams into this next chapter.“ (eap)
