Magical New Land of Oz to Open at Gulliver’s World

A look at what the Winged Monkey’s ride will look like in the new Land of Oz area at Gulliver’s World.
(eap) The British theme park Gulliver’s World in Warrington, Cheshire, has announced the opening of a new themed area with three attractions. Visitors will be able to immerse themselves in the magical “Land of Oz” from this spring. “We are so excited to be bringing our new Land of Oz area to Gulliver’s World where guests can join Dorothy and her friends on a magical adventure,” says Craig Clews, Resort Director at Gulliver’s World.
The new attractions include an “Upside Down House” from Upside Down House UK – an interactive experience for children and adults where they can touch everything within their reach and take photos of their adventure. Furthermore, thrill-seekers can enjoy the “Winged Monkeys Ride”, an attraction from SBF Visa inspired by the movie “Wicked”, where visitors can fly through the air twisting and turning. Finally, visitors can take the wheel of the “Munchkin Motors” and drive through the Land of Oz while looking out for the popular characters from “The Wizard of Oz”.
“Our Upside Down House is a unique attraction and a great place to take incredible pictures. Visitors will be able to capture many memorable and surreal photos and videos that they flip upside down, which they can share in real time with friends and family! And our two new themed rides add even more fun and excitement to the resort. We are always looking at ways to invest in our parks and enhance the experience for our guests so even more magical memories can be made. We’re all set for a really exciting spring and summer season ahead!!”, adds Clews.
Gulliver’s World in Warrington was opened in 1989 as the second of four Gulliver’s Theme Park Resorts across the UK. The amusement park is primarily aimed at families with children aged between two and thirteen. ■
