Canada: Méga Parc Reopens Today After Complete Make Over
The Méga Parc indoor park, located at Galeries de la Capitale retail and leisure complex in the city of Québec/Canada and opened in 1988, celebrates its reopening today after several months of construction and modernization works. The park now comprises a total of 18 attractions on three levels, including 14 new attractions and four revamped rides, which have already been part of the park’s previous visitor offer.
Novelties include an interactive 4D theater dubbed “Cortex” from Canada’s Triotech company as well as a Cloud Coaster installation (with the name “Télégraphe”) from US-based manufacturer Extreme Engineering (cf. EAP News from January 11th, 2018). Also, guests can look forward to enjoy a ride with the spokeless “Zénith” Ferris Wheel or to ice skating on a 228 meter (750 feet) long ice rink. A number of arcade games, a show stage as well as rooms for private and corporate events complete the new offer for visitors.
“The new Méga Parc is an incredible attraction that will help redefine the entire customer experience at Galeries de la Capitale. Retail is changing, and the mall is no longer simply just a place to shop but a destination to enjoy world-class experiences across fashion, food, and entertainment that can’t be recreated online,” explained Bradley Jones, Head of Retail at Oxford Properties Group, operator of Galeries de la Capitale.
