Canada: SimEx-Iwerks Announces New Immersion Theater Concept
Canadian company SimEx-Iwerks is celebrating its 30th anniversary and announces the presentation of new developments at the IAAPA Expo in Orlando as part of the celebration. “We are excited to celebrate our 30th year doing what we do best, developing new attractions,“ announces SimEx-Iwerks CEO Michael Needham. The company is known for its immersive, cinematic attractions such as motion ride theaters, flying theaters and cinematic VR. In doing so, they hold partnerships with major content production studios such as Warner Bros, Disney and BBC, with their attractions being found in leisure facilities worldwide.
The company has now already announced a new immersive theater concept to be introduced during the show. The attraction is designed to offer visitors an immersive experience from entering to exiting the theater. It will use state-of-the-art special effects, lighting and audio technologies, and motion-based seating. “Cinematic experiences engage the audience like no other. Our technology stimulates the senses, allowing guests to get lost in the story. Our newest attractions immerse guests into familiar worlds from major brands in a magical and memorable way,“ said Sean McAllister, Vice President, Attractions Development at SimEx-Iwerks. (eap)
