Center Parcs: New Sunpark for the Saarland

In mid-2009 construction is set to begin on a holiday park at Lake Bostal in the Saarland, which has been in planning for over ten years now. 130 million euros are to be invested in the 90-hectare large site. The state of Saarland is expected to contribute around 20 million euros of funding to the project. Plans for the holiday park include the construction of around 500 houses as well as an indoor pool and spa area. The new facility is set to open during the 2011 season. Around 150,000 guests and a total of roughly 500,000 overnight stays are anticipated each year. (eap)
