Change in the Management of Doppelmayr USA

(eap) Austrian ropeway manufacturer Doppelmayr has announced a change in the management of its subsidiary Doppelmayr USA. Current CEO Katharina Schmitz will leave the company on March 31, 2025 to pursue personal goals. Schmitz, who joined Doppelmayr USA in 2018 and became CEO in April 2020, led the company through significant growth, especially as the leisure and ski industry recovered after the Covid19 pandemic.

“It has been an incredible honor to lead Doppelmayr USA during such a dynamic period,” emphasizes Schmitz. “I am immensely proud of our team’s achievements and the positive impact our projects have on communities and resorts nationwide. I am confident the company’s strong foundation will support continued success and innovation.”

The role of CEO will be assumed by Keith Johns effective April 1, 2025. Johns has proven himself as a dedicated leader since joining Doppelmayr USA in 2021, most recently in the position of Vice President, Operations. Prior to joining Doppelmayr USA, he held various leadership positions in engineering, construction and project management. As Acting CEO of the energy technology company Red Leaf Resources, he led strategic direction and complex operational initiatives. His expertise in stakeholder relations, process improvement and technical problem-solving should be of great benefit to Doppelmayr. ■
