China: New “FLYOVER China“ Flying Theatre Now Open at Shijingshan Amusement Park

The new “Fly Over China” flying theatre attraction recently went into operation at Beijing’s Shijingshan Amusement Park, offering park guests to enjoy a virtual flight experience of eleven minutes gliding above Chinese cities and landscapes.

The attraction, which is the first installation of the i-Ride system from Taiwanese provider Brogent in China, features seven gondolas, taking visitors up to twelve meters in the air. Shortly before the flight starts, the seats are pushed forward in direction of the dome screen (measuring 20 meters in diameter) for a fully immersive experience. For the first time, with the Fly Over China attraction an i-Ride features a video system with multiple laser projectors to further optimize the image quality. For the realization of this project, Brogent worked in partnership with Fly Over The World Cultural Development Co., Ltd – in the next five years the company plans to roll out 30 i-ride theatres at several locations in China, including Xinjiang and Xizang.
