Cirque du Soleil Acquires VStar and Subsidiary Company Cirque Dreams

The Cirque du Soleil Entertainment Group, known for its elaborate circus productions, recently announced the acquisition of VStar Entertainment Group, expanding the company´s spectrum. VStar was established almost 40 years ago and is known for small productions such as shows and exhibitions for all age groups. In 1993 the subsidiary company Cirque Dreams was established by Broadway Director Neil Goldberg.

Cirque Dreams specialized itself on visionary theater and circusproductions in family entertainment – among others on cruiseships, in hotels and in themeparks. Through the acquisition of VStar and Cirque Dreams during ongoing operation, the Cirque du Soleil Entertainment Group expects to expand their range and by the help of that to stabilize their position as one of the world leaders in live entertainment. The president of Cirque Dreams, Goldberg, remarks that he could not imagine a better partner for the further developement of his company´s productions. (eap)
