Cologne: Zollstockbad Opens New Play and Climbing Structure
Today will see the opening of a new 4.50-meter high play and climbing attraction in the outdoor area of Cologne’s Zollstockbad, which is located in the Rodenkirchen city district on the left bank of the Rhine river. The so-called “Jupiter spatial net”, which was produced on behalf of operator KölnBäder GmbH, is a playground structure supplied by Berliner Seilfabrik. It features a four meter long suspension bridge and a stainless steel dry slide.
The play and climbing structure is accessible for children and teenagers during regular open-air swimming pool operation. With this new investment of around 50,000 euros, KölnBäder wants to attract even more families and children to Zollstockbad in the future. Further investment and construction measures are planned for this site in the medium term. In total, KölnBäder operates twelve pool complexes in Cologne. (eap)
