(eap) After Germany’s Europa-Park announced that its mascots “Ed & Edda” are getting their own cinema movie in 2025, it has now been publicized that MACK Magic will be producing a TV series based on an Europa-Park attraction. The family attraction “Madame Freudenreich’s Curiosités” is to be launched as a TV series on the German KiKA children channel in 2025 under the title “DINO MATES – Ferien bei Madame Freudenreich” (Engl.: DINO MATES – Vacations with Madame Freudenreich). The story of the series will revolve around ten-year-old Sophie and her older brother Leo, who spend an exciting summer vacation with their adventurous grandma Clara in Alsace. What begins as a normal vacation takes an unexpected turn: The two discover real dinosaur eggs in a dragon’s cave. Suddenly, they find themselves in the middle of a mission full of excitement and fun, which bonds them inseparably with their new dinosaur friends. The series will be based on the Madame Freudenreich attraction at Europa-Park and the accompanying picture book series “Dinosaurs in Grandma’s Garden” (also by MACK Magic) to expand the brand world. To date, over 300,000 copies (in a total of eight available languages, including German, French, Danish and Chinese) have been sold in international bookshops.

Dino Mates is a co-production of MACK Magic, the Hamburg label Edel Kids and the TV channel KiKA. The series is produced by Michael Mack, Managing Partner of Europa-Park and founder of the entertainment company MACK Magic. “With ‘Dino Mates’, we are taking the world of ‘Madame Freudenreich’ to a whole new level. It is a pleasure for us to make our popular characters and their adventures accessible to a wide audience and to bring the magic of our stories into people’s homes,” says Mack enthusiastically.

The series was developed under Mack’s direction together with his production team led by Anne Tintinger and Tobias Mundinger. Dirk Hampel was in charge of production at B-Water Animations Studio. David Ginnuttis and Oliver Huzly are responsible for the content under the editorial supervision of KiKA. Studio 100 International is responsible for the worldwide distribution of the first season with 26 episodes of eleven minutes each. The series was recently presented to TV broadcasters worldwide for the first time at MIPCOM in Cannes, an international television trade fair. ■
