Denmark: Fårup Sommerland Opens Its New Four Star Hotel

Th e Fårup Sommerland theme park located in the Denish Blokhus has opened on 4th May 2016 its new four star family hotel Fårup on time (cf. EAP, issue 4/2015). Located directly in the park with a view on “Falken” (Eng. “falcon”) and “Orkanen” (Eng. “hurricane”), the interior and exterior of the hotel is themed in genuine “Fårup wood-style” – with trees in the reception-area, a moose-head decorating the restaurant, tree-hut bunkbeds in the rooms and birdsongs in the public areas. “The hotel is an old dream that has come true, and this marks a new era for Fårup Sommerland. With the new hotel, we will be able to extend the service to our guests – especially those who come from abroad. In many years, we have experienced a demand for accommodations in the park, and therefore we are confident, that the new resort will be a success,” said Søren Kragelund, CEO Fårup Sommerland. The park made the investment of 51 million Danish Krones (approx. 6.8 million Euro) in the hotel Fårup, which is equipped with 51 rooms with space for four to six persons each, so it offers a total capacity of more than 250 guests per night.
