Denmark: Kari Brandsgård to Become New Hotel Director at LEGOLAND Billund Resort
On 1st October, Kari Brandsgård (pictured) will take over the position of hotel director at LEGOLAND Billund Resort. Thus, Brandsgård, born in Norway, will be responsible for the management of the three hotels belonging to the resort and the four associated restaurants. Most recently, the trained chef and hotel manager, who can look back on many years of experience in the hotel and conference industry in Denmark and abroad, was head of Jørgensens Hotel in Horsens, Denmark, on the east coast of Jutland.
“One of the things that means a lot to me is that you can feel where you are. When I walked into LEGOLAND Castle Hotel for the first time, I just thought wow. Here you can really feel that you are in LEGOLAND, and it means everything when you enter a hotel as a guest that you get that wow experience,” says Kari Brandsgård. She adds, “Sustainability means a lot to me, so I am very happy that the accommodations in LEGOLAND are certified with the Green Key, and I am very much looking forward to continuing this work in the coming years. Now, I want to get to know LEGOLAND and my colleagues first and foremost, and it is a big priority for me that we have a good time together, because that is crucial for making lasting childhood memories and continuing to increase our focus on sustainability.” (eap)
