Denmark’s Legoland Billund to Expand Holiday Village with Ninjago-Themed Accommodation Offers

Following the success of the newly opened „Lego Ninjago World“ at Denmark’s Legoland Billund Resort at the beginning of this season (cp. EAP, issue 2/2016), the Merlin Entertainments-operated park recently announced to expand its accommodation offer by adding new Ninjago-themed cabins and wilderness barrels to its Holiday Village. This step is also a result of the huge demand for the Ninjago-themed rooms that had been launched at the resort‘s four-star hotel in the wake of the opening of Ninjago World, as reported by Legoland hotel manager Martin Aadal Nielsen.

A total of 50 new Ninjago cabins and 30 new wilderness barrels will be opened in due time for the season opening on April 1, 2017. The cabins, which will offer a large living room and a roofed patio, will sleep between four and eight people – enough space for the whole family. Ninjago elements such as an illuminated ninja sword can naturally be found throughout the space. In addition, a new large Ninjago-themed playground will be built in the Holiday Village where children and adults can practice their ninja skills before entering the Ninjago world itself. The new wilderness barrels will offer space for up to four guests and offer an attractive alternative to an overnight stay in a tent or caravan. The total investment will amount to 40 million Danish kroner (approx. 5.4 million Euros). (eap)
