Dinosaurierpark Teufelsschlucht Celebrates its 10th Anniversary
(eap) Germany’s Dinosaurierpark Teufelsschlucht theme park in the southern Eifel region is celebrating its 10th anniversary this year. Since the dinosaur park first opened its doors in April 2015, it has been expanded from year to year and the number of life-size models of prehistoric animals, which accompany children and adults along a timeline of more than 400 million years, has steadily increased – with new scenes and exhibitions being added every year, always in cooperation with model manufacturer Dinosaurierpark International.

The anniversary year 2025 begins with a special exhibition and dino-metal music. The former is the “Rock Fossils – True love never dies” exhibition, which focuses on fossils named after rock stars, such as the “Kalloprion kilmisteri”, a prehistoric bristle worm named after Motörhead musician Lemmy Kilmister. Visitors can listen to the original soundtracks at over 30 audio stations. The show can be seen and heard at the Teufelsschlucht dinosaur park through June 15.
On May 10, the dinosaur park will also present a concert by the dinosaur metal band Heavysaurus in the community hall in Irrel. Other special events include children’s book readings by authors Anika Ackermann and Meike Adelmann and, for the first time, a series of scientific lectures. ■
