Disneyland Paris Opens High-Class Restaurant
(eap) The new restaurant “La Forêt Secrète par Jean Imbert” has opened in the iconic Disneyland Hotel, which opened in 1992 together with Disneyland Paris. From now on, French Michelin-starred chef Jean Imbert will be offering a culinary experience in a forest setting imbued with Disney magic. “I have a very special connection with Disneyland Paris because all the magic of the films that I dream about comes to life here. My childhood memories strongly influenced this restaurant, particularly those of when I would come to the park, as well as my favorite films. I am thrilled to contribute to showcasing French gastronomy in Europe’s number one tourist destination,” says Imbert.
At La Forêt Secrète par Jean Imbert, guests can choose between two menus: a five-course menu and a three-course set menu. For the first time in his career, the chef has also created a menu especially for children. The creations devised by Imbert and his Executive Chef Moussa Konaté are inspired by the well-known Disney films and are designed to invite guests on a culinary adventure. For example, there is a seafood starter inspired by the Walt Disney animated film “The Little Mermaid” or “Mrs. Potts’ Brew”, a vegetable and truffle broth with root vegetable ravioli, which is intended to transport guests to the castle of the Beast from the Disney film “Beauty and the Beast”.
“What I wanted to convey through the menu is this invitation to travel through their favorite experiences found at Disneyland Paris. I offer guests a journey from one story to another through food, from The Little Mermaid to Ratatouille, to Indiana Jones and Pirates of the Caribbean, always with respect for seasonal ingredients. With this menu, I hope guests will enjoy an enchanted break in an environment inspired by the legendary forests found in many Disney classics!” states the chef.
“At Disneyland Paris, we are always committed to enriching the experience of our guests, and gastronomy plays a vital role. More than just a pleasure, food is a true expression of culture and sharing, particularly in France, where it occupies a central place in the ‘art de vivre’. I am inspired by Jean Imbert’s creative boldness in the kitchen. Through this collaboration, our guests will be able to extend the magic of their day in the parks in an unparalleled way, diving into a world where imagination, tradition, and innovation meet around an exceptional gastronomic experience”, adds Natacha Rafalski, President of Disneyland Paris. ■
